Mr. D’s Music Club offers award-winning performing arts after-school programs and summer camps in Oakland, California, for children ages 8–12. Nicco Tyson's Harmonica, Guitar and Ukulele Lessons East Bay provides personalized music instruction for students looking to learn and develop their skills in harmonica, guitar, and ukulele. With a lifelong passion for music and extensive experience performing with bands, friends, fellow musicians, and audiences, Nicco brings a creative and engaging approach to teaching. His musical experiences across Europe, South America, and Africa have shown him how music can connect people across cultural and language barriers. He has also spent the past 10 years teaching private music lessons to children at Children’s Day School in San Francisco, developing interactive approaches that keep young students motivated and engaged through songs, exercises, and activities. Nicco holds a BA in International Relations with a concentration in World Music from the University of the Pacific and participated in study-abroad programs in Mali and Brazil, where he performed with the Mande Afrobeat group Malikan and contributed to Studio Nanou, a project focused on recording underground music in Bamako.
