Music Maker Workshops LLC is a locally owned and family-operated music studio serving Ahwatukee since 1997. Founded by Mrs. Beverly Bigam and now co-directed by her daughters, Kim Steedman and Shelley Yakubow, the studio is dedicated to providing high-quality, personalized music education for students of all ages. With a team of more than 40 talented teachers, Music Maker Workshops has grown into a thriving center for musical learning and development. The studio is an ESA-approved vendor and proudly supports Arizona’s Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA) and Arizona Study Program (ASP). In addition to private one-on-one instruction, students can participate in group programs such as String Ensemble and Cello Choir, providing opportunities to collaborate, develop their skills, and grow as musicians.

Amazing Mobile Music Instruction provides personalized music lessons for students of all ages and skill levels throughout North Phoenix, Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Glendale, and surrounding Phoenix metro areas. The studio offers piano, guitar, ukulele, bass guitar, drum, and mandolin lessons for beginners, intermediate, and advanced students. Lessons are available in-home, online, or at the home studio, providing flexible options to fit each student’s needs and schedule. Instruction focuses on developing a strong understanding of melody, harmony, rhythm, music theory, and practical application rather than relying solely on memorization. Lessons are tailored to each student’s learning style, goals, age, and readiness, helping children, teens, and adults build confidence and grow as musicians.

Desert Ridge Music Academy was founded in 2008 to create a better music-learning experience by combining quality instruction with opportunities for students to connect, collaborate, and perform with other musicians. Guided by its mission to Learn, Create, Perform, the Academy offers music lessons for students of all ages and skill levels while hosting weekly jam sessions, concerts, and recitals on its in-house stage. Its supportive, education-focused environment encourages students to form bands and gain real-world performance experience, with many going on to perform paid gigs. The Academy operates an 8,000-square-foot facility with 26 private lesson studios, more than 1,200 weekly students, and over 40 qualified instructors.

School of Rock Goodyear/Litchfield Park is a performance-based music school serving students of different ages and experience levels in the West Valley area. The school combines personalized one-on-one instruction with group rehearsals, allowing students to develop their musical skills while learning how to play and perform together as a band. Its hands-on approach helps students build technique, confidence, creativity, teamwork, and stage presence through practical music experiences. Students can progress through programs designed for beginners and more advanced musicians, with opportunities to participate in performance groups, songwriting, recording and production activities, camps, workshops, and live shows. By emphasizing real-world performance experience in a supportive environment, School of Rock Goodyear/Litchfield Park helps students grow as musicians while enjoying the excitement of performing with others.

SOUNDS Academy empowers youth through music education and character development, with a strong commitment to serving underserved communities. Through personalized lessons, group classes, and performance opportunities, students develop their musical abilities while building important qualities such as creativity, leadership, perseverance, resilience, teamwork, and a commitment to higher education. Students can learn and perform on string and woodwind instruments, guitar, and piano, with instruments provided to those who may not otherwise be able to afford them. The Academy also offers a Musical Access Program that introduces children to music through live performances and Instrument Petting Zoos, inspiring them to explore different instruments and discover the joy of making music. By combining musical training, mentorship, and meaningful experiences, SOUNDS Academy helps students recognize their potential and prepares them to create successful futures for themselves and their communities.
